  • First open Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Click on Insert
  • Now on top-right side of the screen you will see the Screen Recording option under media.

    • As soon as you click on Screen Recording the PowerPoint will be minimized and a new tool bar window will be appeared (See the image below)

    There will be five option on this toolbar - Record, Stop, Select Area, Audio and Record Pointer.


    Record: This option is used to start the screen recording. Whenever you want to start screen recording click on Record and recording will be begin.

      Stop: This is used to stop recording, you can click on Stop or press windows key + shift + Q to stop screen recording.

      Select Area: This option is used to select the area on the screen which you want to record. After click on Select Area you will see a rectangle with red dashed boundary, you can easily resize this box. Remember only the area inside this box will be recorded.

      Audio: Using this option you can select wheather you want to record audio or not with the screen.

      Record Mouse : This option is used to select if you want to record your mouse pointer along with the screen or not.

      How to save powerpoint screen recording as video

      After click on record screen recording will be started and to pause the recording press windows key + shift + R and to stop or finish you can click on Stop or just press windows key + shift + Q on keyword. After finish the recording you will be redirected to PowerPoint. Now to save that screen recording as video follow the instruction below.

      • Right Click on the video
      • Click on Save Media As

      • Select the location where you want to save the video
      • Type a name and click on save.
